4.1.15. Removal and installation of a cranked shaft and radical bearings

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the engine from the car and then remove all components from the engine.
2. Overturn the engine cranked shaft up. Keep in mind that covers of radical bearings of a cranked shaft various therefore note their arrangement.
3. Unscrew bolts and remove covers of radical bearings.
4. Lift a cranked shaft and remove a back sealing ring of a cranked shaft.
5. Remove radical loose leaves from the block of cylinders and covers of radical bearings of a cranked shaft.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check that the block of cylinders both a cranked shaft pure and dry, and openings for supply of oil pure. If there is a possibility, blow openings the compressed air and fill them with oil.
2. Clear a back part of loose leaves and a place of their installation in the block of cylinders and covers of radical bearings. Establish loose leaves on the places.
3. Keep in mind that the ledge on the loose leaf should enter accurately into a groove (it is specified by an arrow) in a cover or the block of cylinders.
4. The central radical loose leaf also defines axial люфт a cranked shaft. The loose leaves established in the block of cylinders, have an opening for supply of greasing. The loose leaf established in the central cover of the radical bearing, also has an opening for supply of greasing.
5. Grease a working surface of loose leaves with pure engine oil.
6. Establish a cranked shaft in the block of cylinders of the engine.
7. Grease the bottom loose leaves in covers of radical bearings with pure engine oil and check that ledges on loose leaves are in cover grooves.
8. Establish the central cover of the radical bearing and fix it bolts, having tightened them the demanded moment.
9. Establish a new back sealing ring of a cranked shaft, then apply a thin film hermetic on a cover flange.
10. Also fill with flute hermetic from two parties of a back cover of the radical bearing of a cranked shaft.
11. Establish a back cover of the radical bearing of a cranked shaft and fix it bolts, having tightened them the demanded moment.
12. Establish a forward cover of the radical bearing of a cranked shaft. Put a hermetic layer on bolts and fix a cover bolts, having tightened them the demanded moment. The cover should be established aflush with the block of cylinders of the engine.
13. Turn a cranked shaft of the engine and check that it rotates easily and smoothly. Using an edge щупа, check axial люфт a cranked shaft. If axial люфт a cranked shaft exceeds admissible limits, means, radical loose leaves of the inappropriate size are established or they are worn-out.
