4.2. OHC engines


The engine with four cylinders, established cross-section in a forward part of the car. Coupling and a transmission are located on the left side of the engine.

The cranked shaft leans on five radical bearings. Persistent half rings are established on the third radical bearing.

Pistons fasten to rods piston fingers with a gap in a rod. Pistons from an aluminum alloy have three piston rings – two kompressionny and one maslosjemny.

The camshaft located in the top part of a head of the block of cylinders, puts in action a gear belt of a drive and operates valves through yokes. Yokes in a point of turn are supported by hydraulic pushers which automatically regulate a gap between a camshaft, a yoke and a valve core. Each valve is closed by one spring.

Greasing of the engine is carried out by the shesterenchaty oil pump which is located in a cover attached to a forward part of the block of cylinders. The drive of the oil pump is carried out from a cranked shaft while the fuel pump (on models with the carburetor) and the distributor of ignition are put in action from a camshaft.
