6.1.2. Use of unleaded gasoline

GENERAL INFORMATION

The fuel recommended for use, is specified in subsection 6.1.1.

Standard high-quality grades of fuel are suitable. Quality of fuel considerably influences capacity, kind of work and engine service life. Great value additives (additive) added to fuel therefore fill only qualitative grades of fuel with additives thus have.

Fuel use with insufficient value of octane number can lead to the knocks caused by early installation of ignition.

Fuel with higher octane number can be applied in any cases. At cars in which fuel tank it is necessary to fill unleaded gasoline, it is impossible to insert into a bulk mouth of a fuel tank the gun of a toplivorazdatochny column with etilirovanny gasoline.

Designation of RON and MON fuel is defined by standards of tests. RON defines research octane number while MON defines engine octane number.

If the car is maintained on unleaded gasoline 95 (RON), it is necessary to execute the following actions to avoid a detonation in engine cylinders.

MODELS OF 1,2 L

On models of 1,2 l made till February, 1985 it is possible to use unleaded gasoline, but on each five fillings of unleaded gasoline it is necessary to make one filling by etilirovanny gasoline.

For operation of later models on unleaded gasoline 95 (RON) it is necessary to reduce a corner of an advancing of ignition on 3 °.

MODELS OF 1,3 L

On models with engines of 13 N and 13 NB use of unleaded gasoline 95 (RON) without restrictions is allowed.

For use of unleaded gasoline 95 (RON) on models with engines of 13 SC it is necessary to reduce a corner of an advancing of ignition on 3 °.

MODELS OF 1,4 L

On all models unleaded gasoline 95 (RON) without restrictions can be used.

MODELS OF 1,6 L

When using unleaded gasoline 95 (RON) on models with engines of 16 SH it is necessary to reduce a corner of an advancing of ignition on 3 °. On later models with the engine of 16 SV there is a switch of octane number of fuel.

The switch is located from the right forward party of a motor compartment and at plant is established on fuel 98 (RON). For change of octane number of fuel release a clamp, take and turn on 180 ° the switch and establish it on the place. The octane number of fuel established by the switch is visible on the switch.
