8.1.5. Check, removal and condenser installation

GENERAL INFORMATION

The condenser is intended for iskreniye reduction between breaker contacts.

The condenser is connected parallel to breaker contacts. At an exit of the condenser ignition admissions are out of operation possible.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If operation of the engine after escape of several kilometers is broken and there is a strong obgoraniye of contacts of the breaker, that, possibly, the condenser is faulty.
2. Further check can be made, disconnecting manually contacts of the breaker to the included ignition.
3. Existence of a strong spark between contacts indicates condenser failure.

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew the screws, fixing a cover of the distributor of ignition, and uncover also a distributor rotor.
2. Move a spring of the lever of contacts of the breaker from a plastic insulator and disconnect condenser wires.
3. Unscrew the screw, the fixing condenser to a basic plate of the distributor of ignition, and remove it.
4. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
